To make a Tint you add white to any color.

AS YOU MOVE YOUR WAY DOWN THE CAT IT IS TINTED BECAUSE WHITE IS BEING ADDED
To make a SHADE you add black to any color.

To make a TONE you add gray to any color.

BY ADDING GRAY TO DIFFERENT PARTS OF THIS DRAGON, YOU ARE TONING THE DRAGON
COOL/WARM COLORS
Warm colors are energetic. Like red, red-orange, orange, orange-yellow, yellow, and yellow-green.

Cool colors are calm. Like green, green-blue, blue, blue-violet, violet, and red-violet.



TETRADIC COLOR SCHEME use 4 colors with two complementary pairs. THis can form a rectangle or square.



TRIADIC COLOR SCHEME use colors that are evenly spaced around the color wheel. Such as yellow-orange, blue-violet, and green.



ANALOGOUS COLOR SCHEME are colors that come from neighboring families on the color wheel, Such as blue, blue-green, and green.



COMPLEMENTARY COLOR SCHEME are colors opposite colors on the color wheel. Like red and green.
